Are you ready for Christmas and the holiday season? I noticed the other day that Dollar General had Halloween items on side of the aisle and Christmas on the other side. Why can’t finished with at least Halloween before Christmas items come out on display. I am not one who buys presents through the year. I wish I was. I keep telling myself that I want to that. My family sometimes lives paycheck to paycheck. With today’s economy many people are doing the same thing. This can be a hard time for families in regards to money and presents. Some weeks I can get some pretty good deals at the store with my coupon and shopping habits.
Our son is a teenager and is getting harder to buy for. So far he has told he wants a XBox 360 game, jeans and socks. His socks disappear with the drop of a hat. My husband is the type of person that expects you to buy things that he has specifically asked for. Which sometimes can be hard to do. My parents are semi-hard to buy for. My mom, is like me so what I like she will like also sometimes. My dad does not always tell mom what he wants from others. I get tired of giving gift cards. Personally I don’t know what to tell others like my husband what I want for Christmas. I would be happy getting something for the house like some people do. My husband loves to open gifts though.
One way I have started to buy a couple gifts. I have an app on my phone (Media Insiders) that accumulates points from week to week. Depending on the number of points I can redeem the points for a gift card. I have been doing CVS. Recently I have been choosing Amazon. It will then send me Amazon gift card code to put in at Amazon. So I have ordered two books for family members already.
Do you wait for the last minute for present buying or purchase throughout the year? Do you order online from Amazon or other online places? Or do you prefer to go to stores to buy everything?
