For a long time, I kept saying I wanted to make homemade bread. Two days ago, I had gone to the store and forgot to buy bread. **Tip Always make a list when going to the store so you do not have to go again.
So I thought to myself why don’t I find a recipe and make some bread. Our house goes through the bread fairly fast.
I found a simple recipe. It does take a little time to make homemade bread for those that don’t know. It may not be my own recipe but thought would share the link to the recipe
What I love about making homemade bread
** Using my hands to knead the bread
** The amazement of checking the bread after it has risen, how it has doubled in size.
** The action of punching the dough down.
** The smell of the bread baking fills the house.
I put the above picture on my Facebook timeline yesterday to show what I made. I received many great comments:
Looks great Sounds delicious
Looks better than store bread for sure
I didn’t know people did that any more was one comment.
The recipe had stated it only costs $.39 per loaf. The bread has gone over well with my family. It wasn’t hard to make. I may have to start making bread all the time. Don’t everyone jump at once who wants me to make them a loaf.
I always believe in making food from scratch if I can or when time allows. It is cheaper and sometimes tastes better as well. I must confesss, there are times that I am lazy and make brownies out of a box.
