Have you ever felt like you needed a mental health day to recoup your mind and to feel like yourself again? Maybe it was a really bad day at work or a day where everything went wrong. So you need a day that is calm and where you may control what will happen. Stress can affect our mental health. If our mental health is affected, everything else in our lives could be affected. We may put our frustration out on others. Our work performance at work may be less than desired. Even being a mom can be stressful and may need time to ourselves once in while. Here are a few ideas to help your mental health
** Exercising or Taking a Walk can help release endorphins which are the body’s feel-good chemicals. Take some music along with the walk or to play while exercising. Music can help you get a good rhythm walking.
** Having a soothing Essential oil in a diffuser while at home to give you a calming feeling.
** Sleep can be some people’s remedies to get rid of stress as well. Take a nap at a time when you the opportunity.
** A Bubble bath — That old Calgon commercial comes to mind. The commercial says Calgon take me away. When one is in a Calgon bath sometimes you may feel like you are in a world of your own.
** Have a movie day to yourself
Take care of your mind and your mind. If you take care your body, your mind will not be stressed out worrying about the body. Each person deals with stress in different ways. One may go shopping or write in a journal, whatever it may be, make sure you take time out for you. Make sure you are happy with your stress reliever.
