Are you a mom that has trouble sleeping? Any person at any time in their life may have problems getting to sleep. A majority of the time I have not problem falling asleep. I have fallen asleep watching a movie with my husband. Sometimes mothers have too much on their mind. A mom’s mind can be racing with thoughts and they can’t calm their mind down to be able to go to sleep. I work night shift and sometimes I can’t sleep for a long amount of hours. I could wake up and not fall back asleep after only 4 hours. I thought I should share tips because sometimes these need to be spoken out loud. As the other day I was sleeping, the husband came to plug his phone and made noise that said something to our son who was not in the room. Then I had to know what he was talking about. I had trouble trying to get back to sleep after he left the room. There are frugal ways to help a person sleep without having to turn to medication right away which may be costly.
** A Warm bath or shower
** Write down a list of things you want to accomplish the next day so it is not worrying you what you have to do the next day.
** Reading a book
** Dark Curtains
** A Fan maybe
** Quiet noise –some people like static or even music to fall asleep to.
Each person needs different things to help them sleep. Because I work the night shift, I have black light darkening curtains in my room. My advice is to find what works for you. Tell family not to bother you or even come in the room where you are sleeping. What helps you fall asleep?
