Our son will be getting his drivers license soon. I wonder if he really knows what to do with a car besides driving it. Drivers education teaches students how to drive a car. Jumping a car– There may be a time when they leave the lights on or something else and they have a dead battery. They need to learn how to jump their car.
Changing the oil — serious things can happen if the oil is not changed. Either learn how to do themselves or pay someone else to do it.

Keeping the car washed — After it snows it needs to be washed to get the salt off the car.
Maybe in the future your child will looking to buy a car. They need to know what a reliable car will have when looking for a car.
If a teenager is taught how to use a car properly then they will also be saving money as well. If they don’t take care of their car then there will be more expenses for them when the car breaks down and will need fixed. Teach your teenager the special duties of driving a car before you let them drive your car. Your child may even go away to college and you as a parent will not be there to help them out a situation that could have been prevented.
